Modules are a very important part of ReadyShipper Pro Shipping Software and just in case you didn’t know the friendly people at TrueShip provide you with a list of all of their modules.  You can find them on their updates page located at the top right hand corner of their website, TrueShip.com.  Keep in mind that you will only be able to download and use the modules you are currently paying for. If you’re interested in trying out any modules just give the folks TrueShip a call and let them know that you would like to test one out.  They provided me with a 7 day trial on the QuickBooks module. Enough time for me to try it out.  Oh and the QuickBooks module works great!

I just got news from the people at TrueShip that sometime this week or by the end of next week they will be releasing a new and improved version of ReadyShipper. This new and updated version will come with direct integrations to Buy.com and Yahoo.com as well as an improved robust backend. The people at TrueShip continue to improve the software; so far my experience has been a good one. I am very happy with TrueShip!

I needed to change my current license to my new computer, so I called TrueShip and they provided me with great step by step instructions. I’ll share them with you just in case you would like to change computers. It was actually pretty easy. You’ll want start off by backing up your settings, order history and any custom maps before uninstalling it from the current computer. TrueShip made it so easy. Order History can be exported out by going to File, Export by XML, and All. That will save all your orders in XML files. You can pull your setting from that license out by going to My Documents, ReadyShipper, and copying the settings.json file to the desktop or something. You can get your custom maps for CSV import by going to My Documents, ReadyShipper, and Import Maps and copy and paste that to your desktop as well. After doing all that go to Start, All Programs, ReadyShipper and select uninstall. This will remove the software from that computer and free up your license key for a new computer.

Download the software by going to TrueShip.com. When you open ReadyShipper for the first time, you will choose I have a ReadyShipper license key. Enter the license key for your current license. You can then import your old orders by going to import, selecting TrueShip XML from the import Type drop down menu and bring those XML files in. You can load your custom CSV map by going to import, Edit Maps and clicking on Load Map. You will then load in the .rsmap file from the old license. The final step to restore all your setting is to go to My Documents on the new computer and go to the ReadyShipper folder. You will see a settings .json file. Delete it and paste in the settings.json file you copied from your old license.

The people at TrueShip made this a very easy process.

The TrueShip ship type converter is a great time saving tool. You can automatically convert your ship types for carrier and service specific shipping. Trueship allows you to enter the same name of your ship type on the left and select its equivalent on the right. TrueShip's ReadyShipper Pro Shipping Software also allows you to specify weight range if needed. All I did was watch the weight type converter video in the demos and manuals page and I was able to set it up myself.

The TrueShip support team is great! I called with a silly question I couldn’t figure out, how do I reprint a ReadyLabel? My printer was acting funny and it didn’t print a couple of my ReadyLabels.  I looked everywhere in the software before I called the people at TrueShip. The solution was very easy. Select the order from the main shipping screen by simply clicking on it once, go to file, print, and from that window you can either print it or save it to PDF file. Thank you TrueShip!

TrueShip did a great job of implementing third party billing options. Every once in a while I need to ship using a different shipper account number. I also like to do it without having to jump through hoops. TrueShip made it very easy.  All you have to do is go to modules, UPS online, setting, and you will see third party billing towards the bottom of the UPS Online Setting page. Trueship’s ReadyShipper Pro really facilitates the process. All you need is the account number, zip code, and the country and make sure to check off use third party billing. When you’re done go back and uncheck third party billing.
