How to delete products tied to old orders

I had a great call today with the TrueShip support team. I had a couple of questions that I needed some answers to, so I gave the TrueShip technical support team a call. TrueShip did a great job of answering all of my questions but there is one I specifically think is worth sharing with you guys. My question to the TrueShip technical support team was: Why are there products in the products tab window that I can’t delete? TrueShip support explained that the products you can't delete are tied to archived shipped orders. The solution: first, backup all of your archived orders to an XML file and place them in a safe location. Second, go to view, display archived orders and once you've backed them up start deleting them. One you're done deleting you can go back to the products tab and start to delete products you wish to get rid of. TrueShip did a great job of explaining this to me. I found it very informative and that is why I am passing this along.
